Colorful, bright, happy, whimsical. The prints from this British-based brand are always a delight. This season however, they have been a particular hit with our customers. Here Tracey Samuel, the brand's founder, speaks to the collection's inspiration:

"For Spring Summer ’21, we’ve immersed ourselves in all things David Hockney. You’ll find gentle nods to Hockney’s style and his use of colour. From the iconic Californian pool paintings, to the bright and fun iPad drawings, the polaroid photo collages, his adored Dachshund dogs, his signature round specs and of course, his charming fashion sense and iconic cardigans!"

And while the prints are delightful, what we love even more about the bonnie mob is their brand story and philosophy. Launched in 2005, the brand began when Tracey had her first child and set off on a mission, designing modern, colorful & distinctive baby-knits all inspired by the motto: ‘Buy once, buy well, pass it on’. 

Sustainability, along with quality and great design, were at the core of the brand's foundation. As a experienced veteran in the knitwear design world, Tracey was all too familiar with the harmful impacts of the fashion industry on the world, and determined to set a different standard within her own brand. "As parents ourselves, we hope to leave a better environment for our children".

"We are continually learning and adapting our designs and processes to ensure we are proud of the garments we produce. Where we have choices, we always put sustainability first."

The brand strives to maximize their use of the best in environmentally-friendly materials for their fabrics. They also take great pride in considering every worker involved in the production of their clothing as a valued member of the bonnie mob family. And their committment extends beyond the clothing they produce. "At every point until final delivery, we endeavour to reduce, reuse or recycle."
