studio ROOF
founded in 2005 by husband and wife duo, romy boesveldt and ilya yashkin, studio ROOF is a dutch design studio that creates colorful cardboard wall hangings, games, toys and paper goods for children and adults of all ages. the founders are parents to three children and believe that imagination and playfulness are not only connected to childhood but a key element in every aspect of life. this belief motivates their creative process and ultimately unfolds in their products – masks, birds, insects, cities, sea animals, earth creatures and many more. their original collections are all inspired by nature and animals, and so it is only fitting that their products are all eco-friendly, made from recycled cardboard and colored with plant-based vegetable ink.
